An Ubuntu computer with internet access and permission to install software.
Before you start
Review software compatibility first. Install GNU Radio before building the DSPIRA processing blocks.
Planning your time
Review the tasks before scheduling a class. A classroom duration has not been confirmed for this lesson.

To install GNU Radio, complete the following:

  1. Open a terminal window.

  2. Type and enter sudo apt update

  3. Type and enter sudo apt upgrade

  4. Type and enter

    sudo apt install gnuradio gr-osmosdr airspy python3-h5py python3-ephem git cmake liborc-0.4-dev -y.

    You may need to respond ‘Y’ to a few prompts before installation is complete.
